This weekend I attended Anthrocon as a dealer. This was my first AC and furry convention in general. It was a lot tamer than I expected and my fantasy & monster artwork was very well received even though it was not actually anthropomorphic in nature. (two issues I was worried about!) I will definately consider attending again next year, although AC does fall uncomfortably close to Otakon, and I do not know if it will be possible to attend both.

During the con I finished up Omni's dragon. :-)

I've been asked to post more of my rougher sketches and things before they get all corrected and sparkly inked up pretty, so here we go.

I'm going to tell you now that there are many drawing issues because I have not done any corrections to it yet. The skull structure needs some referencing, in addition to some symmetry. The hips could use some help, and the back leg placement could also have some greater care put into it. The wings coming at you could also use some TLC. Hahaha. This is basically the second pass of sketching. First pass is a very loose gesture. Second pass is nailing out the details. Third pass is correcting anatomical errors ect. Then inks. It sounds like a lot, but actually all this happens in about an hour, haha. Finally it gets inked and colored after all that mess.



And if you wanted to see the size that I ink at, this is it zoomed into 100%. I should still probably dig up some reference. I made this up >.>; It doesn't look right, haha.

I'm open for two (2) full body dragon commission slots. The details on what this type of commission would entail along with examples are found in this journal entry. I'm simply opening up two more slots :-)

Commissions are first-come, first serve for applicable*** commissions. Even if you allready see two people signed up ahead of you, there's a chance that perhaps the type of dragon they're asking for I will be unable to find a place for in the book, or have allready created a spot illustration meeting those requirements. :-)

*** I have only a couple dozen more spot illustrations to complete. They are side illustrations for pre-determined units. If your dragon's ref does not work for one of these unfinished spots, I may reply and tell you I cannot do it, because I am unable to make it serve the dual-purpose that all these spots must serve. IE: I can't be open for commission right now because I have way too much work to do on the book. The only way I CAN be open for commission at the moment is if it does not impede on the very large workload I already have on my plate.

Please note that if you want one of these done, I will expect full payment within three days via Paypal. If this is not doable, please do not post! :-)
