I took a break from sky pirate characters and decided it was time to try my hand at the things that makes them sky pirates. Dreaded symmetrical man-made things. I won't even begin to pretend this is aerodynamic.

It's a texture overlay. I'm compensating.

Yep, more textures to compensate for my shortcomings. These were drawn about three weeks ago without any reference. Thus we end up with wonkey-looking corvids. I should use reference. I will use reference in the future. I will. I will. *beats it into skull* I am pleased with how the hand-wings came out, even if I'm not fond of the corvid faces.



Remember this? I never did this. I didn't even start. Oy. Perhaps I'll apply it to my sky pirate comic idea which is currently nameless. It involves steampunk airships, floating continents, lazer-shooting dragons, sky pirates, chauvinists, impractical clothing, hustlers, drunkards, war vets, pansys, 2 dozen grappling hooks, azure tinted dream sequences, and more convenient plot-devices then you can shake a stick at! It's ah, what the Butterfly comic idea mutated into when I gave the story summary I wrote two years ago a looksey and found I'd have more fun with it pulling it away from a high-fantasy setting.

Oh, and by the way, crow guys: Nothing to do with sky pirates =X I just wanted to draw one.
