Thought I'd share some artists and songs I've grown fond of.
James Newton Howard - The Great Eatlon - (Lady in the Water Soundtrack): Really spiffy, soaring, epic stuff in the middle and end of this piece of movie soundtrack.
Yuki Kaijura - The World - (Hack//sign Soundtrack): Sort of a medival meets techno sort of a thing. Starts out slow and instrumental, then moves into some lyrics that can't be descipered where it begins to pick up pace.
Orgy - Fiction (Dreams in Digital) - (Vaptor Transmission): Rock? Goth Rock? Not sure how to classify this.
Loreena Mckennitt - The Mummer's Dance (Radio Edit) - (Book of Secrets?): Loreena Mckennit is a celtic artist who does some really great stuff. This is a radio mix of the mummer's dance that I remember hearing in the late 90's on Q104. Strangely, I cannot seem to locate a CD for it. The book of secrets is where the original mummer's dance (which is slower and much longer) is from.
Enjoy!
