You have to look at this for about 5 or 10 seconds to see that things are not always what they seem at first glance. I decided to take this image in a different direction then the cliche "you betrayed me first" angle. I decided that perhaps our little mermaid needed some hope of being saved, and who better to do that then a dragon? I mean, when I think of coolness and ultimate protection, I think dragon. It's a personal thing. When thinking of safety some people think knights in shining armor, some think their own personal arsenol of magical pwoers, some think big guns, I think dragons. It's just me! Yeah, and something monstrous being good and something beautiful being evil is all fun and dandy too.
I ramble.
This image ended up taking longer to finish then planned. Originally I was just going to slap on an abstract fun border background, which takes a half hour tops, but instead I photoshop drew a dragon and undersea environment. This stuff takes time to render!!! Anyhoo, it delayed my completion of the nightmare and fox fighters image. I hope to have that done soon.
In other news, my laptop is 100% useless. I thought since I could get the wacom tablet to make the arrow move in place of my missing mouse and touchpad, I would be set. It turns out that even the tablet is possed when plugged into that thing, so I can no longer take my coloring with me on trips. This is a shame, since I was planning on getting work done while manning my artist alley table at Otakon. :-(
I keep forgetting to share a Random Cool ImageĀ®.
