Here's what I've gotten completed on his commission. The background is going to be... fun to do. Temples and ruins rebuilding themselves. I'm just so steller at archatecture I'm sure it will only take two hundred hours to complete. ^^; Nah, but it'll be a little bit more involved then my half-arsed quickies that I do. Please note that the front wing is not shaded yet, and that back hand is going to be redrawn. It looks like it was repeatedly broken and set incorrectly or something ^^;

I also finished that angel with the cats. Um... I'm a little dissappointed in it. I was all about the inking, but the coloring and the background just fell short. It's so busy and not really well integrated. I've never been really good with backgrounds. I need more practice, but it's just so painful!

I had a rather interesting art thief this past week. Normally people just post the art in galleries without credit or redraw something of mine. This person took my art, ever-so-cleverly edited out the copyright info, and reposted it claiming it was their own. The edit jobs were funny. In two they cropped into the picture so the bottom or side was missing, in another couple they painted over it but left in my illegable sig, and in one they took a bar of blue across the neondragonart address but left the little dragon head peaking over.
8 pieces in this gallery are mine and I know that I've seen the other art somewhere before...
The clever edit job on my squeezy gryphons image. Note how they ever so originally titled the art and wrote such a nice description.
And check out this journal entry on thier main page ^^; They ripped my little artistic angst fest word for word.
They even went through my website and found the sketch and ink versions of Wisps and Let's Read. They then proceeded to post the sketch first and pretend they were doing works in progress ^^;
Definately one of the more creative ways to rip off an artist that I've seen. I wish I knew their IP so I could ban them from my website. They obviously visit a lot to have found things to rip off archived in my journal, my sketches, my gallery, and my tutorial coloring bin. For the first time in over 3 years I abused my webpower and sicked my rabid fans on the villian. There are over a dozen comments that were bumped off the page. It felt suprisingly good. I was very upset when I first discovered the theft, but 3 hours and 2 AIM conversations later, it just became amusing as all heck. I kinda regret reporting them right away because I could have pulled a Fireball an had some fun with them before they got their account locked ^^;
(Did I mention that I love having my "Dragon Sketch" archived right next to "Olympio the Greek Sex Slave"?)
In other news, I'm now feeling extra badass with my mad DDR skills. I'm pulling 8 steps pretty easily now even with the judging difficulty set to hard. I need to find something to brace my arms on or I'm never going to get above this though. I just can't shift my feet fast enough to hit these 16th beats. The only way to do it is to hover. I always thought those kids at the arcade looked silly using the backbrace when they could have just danced it out, but now I see that it's there for a reason :-/ *sigh* Maybe if I get someone to sit on a chair for me, I can flip it around and use the back to hold myself up.
