I recently had the chance to see some of the nostalgic pain that is the live action sailor moon with with
takuto_sama. Gosh, the series combines the worst of Power Rangers and SM into a hideous love-child that has captured my heart. The series is just BAD, but that's what makes it so fun to watch. Luna - the guiding mentor of the feline persuasion - is a plushie. They then go in and CG this plushie so it moves in the higher budget episodes. XD
This is an actual screenshot from the show. I'm so sorry Luna:

The show consists of the monster-of-the-day plot setup and the stock footage of schoolgirls transforming into magical schoolgirls. Not only does the transformation give them knee high pink boots, it also comes complete with colorful wigs of varying lengths, makeup, and jpop dance moves. Oh yes, and the CGed pigtails. We must not forget the CGed pigtails that move in no pattern that I can find. The acting is the typical Japanese TV lot, which means lots of exagurated expressions and scenarios that try to be hilarious, but just aren't. Anyway, the series brought back a lot of fond memories of my early middle school days when I thought that SM was the cat's pajamas. I had a grand old time watching Serina save the day... again and again... and again... Heck, I still like Sailor Moon if only for the nostalgic value it has for me. It has a special place deep, deep down in the bowls of my heart, behind teenage mutant ninja turtles and my little pony the animated series.
If this doesn't want to make you
watch the series, nothing will (then again, I don't think it's possible to WANT to watch the series unless like me, you enjoy mental masochism):

Anyone who's been watching the sci-fi channel recently has probably seen the advertisements for their innovative, horrific new original motion picture. This little masterpiece is titled "Frankenfish". Something like that has to be good. Mutant carp were devouring people in a lesson of man vs. nature; Sci-fi channel, how I love you so. I actually sat down to watch Frankenfish after an evening of DDR with the CCAD posse and was plesently suprised to find out that sci-fi didn't even try to make the movie good; it was as bad as promised! Heads were flying, people were screaming, carp were happy. It was wonderful. My brain cells were evaporating one by one from the pain of it, but my heart was screaming "Go Frankenfish!!! Eat those people! Destroy some property!! Get hideous fishy revenge!!!"
OMG! Frankenfish!!! Actually here, have a children's book style piece that I didn't want to do, but started loving halfway through. Is it odd that I now want to draw squirrels and bunnies learning life lessons about sharing and caring?

It's probably not as cool as fishy decapitation, but then, few things are.
