Tue, Jun. 30th, 2009, 12:18 am More zombie dragons. I think I love zombie dragons.

I've been asked to post more of my rougher sketches and things before they get all corrected and sparkly inked up pretty, so here we go. I'm going to tell you now that there are many drawing issues because I have not done any corrections to it yet. The skull structure needs some referencing, in addition to some symmetry. The hips could use some help, and the back leg placement could also have some greater care put into it. The wings coming at you could also use some TLC. Hahaha. This is basically the second pass of sketching. First pass is a very loose gesture. Second pass is nailing out the details. Third pass is correcting anatomical errors ect. Then inks. It sounds like a lot, but actually all this happens in about an hour, haha. Finally it gets inked and colored after all that mess. And if you wanted to see the size that I ink at, this is it zoomed into 100%. I should still probably dig up some reference. I made this up >.>; It doesn't look right, haha.

I don't like drawing zombies, with all the fidllybits, and asymmetricy... Great image, I particularly like the perspective of the wings. The skull kinda looks like the living dragon's nostrils would be halfway up its face rather than the more usual near the snout, but, hey, all dragons are made up. ;) Tue, Jun. 30th, 2009 09:56 pm (UTC) (Anonymous): DRAGONS ARE NOT MADE UP!
DRAGONS ARE NOT MADE UP! They are real, non-dragon believer. >. Sat, Jul. 18th, 2009 02:23 am (UTC) (Anonymous): Dragon Zombies look perfect the way they are.
Abou the dragon's nostrils, see, the actual opening of the nostrils would be placed where a living dragons would, the bone just doesn't stretch to the very end, it's just basics. Oh, and DRAGONS ARE REAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Tue, Jun. 30th, 2009 10:35 am (UTC)

You know I always thought it a blessing that animals hardly ever came back as zombies in the night of the living dead movies. Could you imagine zombie squirrels, zombie horses, zombie kimono dragons, It would be some nightmare fuel. Than again the zombie clown from diary of the dead haunted my dreams for months, as if clowns weren't creepy enough O.O Sat, Jul. 4th, 2009 11:55 pm (UTC)

Dunno what it is , but evil looking dragons have so much more to them than the "clean and bright" one's :D Tue, Jun. 30th, 2009 09:53 pm (UTC) (Anonymous): AN
AN HOUR? Wow, it takes ME a lot longer to draw dragons. I take FOREVER... its like motion line, head, body, tail, wings, legs, arms..... and it eventually leaves me with taking up an hour just to SKETCH the dragon! Speaking of dragons, maybe I should draw one right now... Tue, Jun. 30th, 2009 10:11 pm (UTC)

I love the zombeh dragons! You are really good at putting the right amount of rotted flesh all over them, and your bones look really good too. Thu, Jul. 2nd, 2009 05:07 am (UTC) (Anonymous): Dragon theme idea?
have you ever tried to create a dragon who's overall appearance reflected a plant? Such as a flower like a lily or a rose? Better yet, a plant that looks pretty, but is actually very deadly or harmful? I think that would be something neat to see ;) Sat, Jul. 4th, 2009 11:54 pm (UTC)
