Stickers + Please Give me Your Opinion

I found a great place to get short print-run glossy polyester stickers made. I am very excited! The problem is that much of my artwork is insuitable to be shrunk down to 2-3 inches tall. Much if it is too detailed, to painted, or just not sticker-material. I have found a small selection of cel-style dragons that will work out great for stickers, but I'm going to have to largely create most of the images from scratch. I don't have any good images of people that will shrink down well. As I sell my work mostly at anime cons, this could be a problem!

I wanted to do a set of chibis that would work for the stickers, and possible for buttons and t-shirts if people would like. (but stickers are my main goal). Here is my first chibi, still in progress. I'm such a little weeaboo. ^^; I'm going to try hard to reference costuming with these so that they're accurate. The one below was referenced from this. The pose was cute =3


Poll for what chibis I should draw next. You can choose multiple answers. I value your opinions. I don't know what people will want, and I really don't want to do them all... You can add your own answer if there's something you want that you don't see.Keep in mind that these are for stickers, and POSSIBLY buttons and tees. But mainly stickers. So if you could vote for things that YOU would like to see as a chibi sticker, please do so!



The fae dragon set is done. I should have it uploaded tomorrow. Gotta assemble them together to look all cute and stuff.

I voted according to what I've seen selling well on ebay, which may or may not be a good indication of the market. Mermaids, fairies and kimono/asian cuties do well, but I also put kitty girls because I love chibis with kitty ears.

That is so freaking adorable - I can't stand it. Hah - people do notice costuming mistakes so you can drive yourself crazy referencing them. Welcome to my little world. I repeat -that is so adorable. Something like that would look so cute on my pink ds lite.

Something that might help would be thinking about what people would use the stickers for. Give you an idea for what designs might sell well. A lot of kids decorate notebooks. (I'm a school teacher)

I've seen a lot of really detailed stickers around. I don't know the specifics of the printing, but a fairly large (say ... 4"square) sticker of a detailed growly dragon would not be ... uncommon. :3 And I'm sure would be popular. Or dramatic piratey faces and ninja poses.

I guess I'm saying they don't have to be just cute.

(This is why I should keep my mouth shut until *after* coffee. Did I make sense at all?)

So cute! Yeah, probably anything that reads "cute" would sell. Although, you could go for "creepy scary" and make a secondary set to entice your other crowd :p

May I, by any chance, ask what is this place you found? I've made stickers for myself, but I had to exactoblade cute them all out xDD not... um, exactly productive.

Paper Forest. They will kiss cut or die cut your stickers for you, but they must all be the same shape for the run. If you want multiple shapes on the same sticker sheet, gonna have to cut them out yourself, so if you want a variety print-run done, it won't exactly save you the exacto-blade pain. But you'd still get vibrant, glossy stickers, which for your customers is a BIG step up from the paper jobbies.

I must agree! I was going to invest in some glossy sticker sheets to print myself, but the major problem I've come up with (at least on the first batch I ever did oh a few years ago) was that the ink would run. I had a crappy printer, then, but I might come up to the same problem again, as I think it was the paper xD

thank you <3 at the very least, I could use it for rectangular designs...
