Printable Worksheets
I am still behind on my e-mail. Thank you for your patience.

NeonDragonArt.com was updated with something fairly new: printable worksheets. Fire up those xerox machines and enjoy them or share with your friends! How these differ from my normal tutorials is that they are formatted in such as way as to be ideal for printing and copying, so you can share the dead-tree-format tutorials with others, or have something portable for yourself. If there's enough interest I will continue to make printable worksheets. In the meantime, it's the online-only tutorials that I am focusing on. The Easy Dragon head tutorial is geared for younger artists. The open dragon wing tutorial is geared for older artists. The print in both is very large, so as to be easy to read for a younger audience. There are multiple pages. Simply click the links.

I have made a dead-tree-format version of the pencil tutorial, but the text is rather small, and some of the subtle variations on the greys of the drawings are lost when the printed copy is placed in a copy machine. It seems to print fine off printers. I'm going to see if there's a way to tweak this to be better.

(If these images show up as having a white border on your colored background, it's time to update your browser already. The latest version of IE, Mozilla, Safari, and the like all support semi-transparent images, which allows for cool things, such as drop shadows that work on all background colors. I'm suggesting this now, because one of my upcoming projects relies heavily on PNG files, and they're very commonly used in artist websites and art communities. Upgrading is good!)

Ah, those are really awesome!

I was wondering if you had any plans in the future to do an Eastern Dragon tutorial, as I've always loved the way you manage to draw them so fluidly. Any tips in their regard would be much appreciated. ^^

I did an eastern dragon tutorial in my book, DragonArt. =3 I hope to do another tutorial on them in my next how-to-draw book. I cannot yet post these tutorials online, but I have received permission from my publisher to put up samples such as The Mermaid Fins tutorial I put up last week. I obviously cannot put up the entire contents of the book. (there's 128 pages!) as that probably wouldn't fly. I'm not sure if the eastern dragon unit is too large to qualify for the online sampling or not.

Wow, thank you! I'm just not comfortable trying to draw in front of my monitor, and I know more than a few people whose desks simply don't allow it. Being able to print these out and have them spread out around my drawing table will really help a lot.

The print in both is very large, so as to be easy to read for a younger audience.

...or an older one, notes the dragon who just got told, "Well, you don't really need bifocals THIS year...."

Hee hee. You must love the tiny, dark on dark text that covers my website. XD I really didn't plan well when I did the new format.

P.S. A bit of advice from an old Tiger... Bi-focals take a little getting used to, but they really are worth the trouble.

I think there's a CSS hack that allows transparent PNGs in older browsers, IE at least. If you're concerned about your viewers having old browsers, why nt try looking into that?

I tried... it was too complixcated. I'm not particularly gifted with dreamweaver and the like. I only know basic html and only recently discovered what css was ><;

Thank you! My little sister (age 8) is really talented, and I love to help her any way I can. After I moved out and took all my drawing books with me, she's been a bit short on materials. This will help her a lot.

I've always admired your work. keep it up. ^_^

RSS is a terrifying technology that terrifies me with its stuff-that-I-don't-know-ness.

I understand completely. I need to learn it so I can set it up on my site, as well. I have a few links I need to check out, myself. If you like I can pass them along.

I have a friend that is going to be overjoyed by these... He always asks me for an easy way to remember the structure of dragon wings and such. Hoorah!
