Got Dryad?
No critique please. I am not fond of this. I took a couple steps backward instead of forward, but I need to get moving on my workload, and pieces of this were a part of the past-due centaur unit for book 2. I'm going to draw up some hooves, manes, and tutorial this thing up tonight, possibly inking the banshee if I get the time.

Edit: On 20th looksie, I think it's growing on me. I was just very, very dissatisfied with it right after I decided it was done. (which was the point when I didn't want to look at it anymore!)

Speaking of how to draw: I got Dragonart last week. Very nice; after reading it I really felt like drawing for the first time in weeks :)

I think it's very nice. I really love the muted, dark pastels (oxymoron, I know...). The greens are especially lovely.

you asked for no critique. so i won't give you one..

however, i will say that you should stop being so hard on your self, and remind you that there are mny artists not nearly as talented as you

BE HAPPY :)

Thank you in advance for the tutorial, ^^

Also, drakkonus is right: stop being so tough on yourself! Everyone has their ups and downs, and there are people who would kill for your skill.

I know that doesn't answer the frustration of not being able to produce something up to par; oh well, I really like it :D

Hugs for you.

I know you said no critiques, but I love it. I personally can't find anything wrong with it. you can see all the flaws because you made it. i'm like that with my stuff, except it actually is crap.
You can do it. I have confidence in you. You should just try wearing a cape. Then you can do anything.

Hey, I like it... >.> The atmosphere is really cool and mysterious. I like their designs a lot, too. Your CG's realy smooth and all, and it works well with the lighting. But really, my favorite part's their character design. So detailed.

I figure after learning so much from you over the past 3 and a half years (ish) and your site, that's its about time I introduced myself. I'm Pete, I'm a professional guitarist, businessman and flair barman. However, I've also since coming across your site in '02 gotten heavily into photoshop, apophysis, terragen and all other things shiney and cg related. So this is a thank you for inspiring me to take this up in the first place, and for beind an unseen teacher.
My humblest thanks to you.

ps. don't be so hard on yourself. I know your a perfectionist, which is why you're so good, and I wouldn't have you change who you are for the world, but relax a bit. You do great work.

lol. God's own truth. The number of times i've sat looking at something, thinking "it's just not right" or "that hand isn't perfect yet..."
the joys of being a perfectionist :)
Take care,
Pete

I love it! Flaws (if you can find them) give a piece of art character. Fuck realism. ('Scuse my language. ^^; )

Hi Jessica.

I purchased an interesting book from work the other day. I bought it because the artwork reminded me alot of a website I used to go to when I was in 10th grade. It had several tutorials that helped me alot and remebered the site even to now, four maybe five years later. Imagine my surprise when I actually took the time to read through it and found an address on the "About the author" page. It was for NeonDragonArt.com! A site that I remembered with warm memories but had not been to in many many months do to life rasing it's scaly head. I enjoy your book very much and am excited to see that you got your great ideas published. it's well writen and the apperance of Dolosus through out the book is done well and helps to illistrate your examples. The "flip book" of him in the corner was a cute touch. Thank you for sharing your talents wih the world.
